Ron Arden

The Lake County Symphony Orchestra has a unique and diverse membership. Nearly all the artists in its core both play an instrument professionally and sing. Members are from all over Lake County Illinois - including Chicago - and some from southern Wisconsin as well.

 

Ron Arden is the founding Artistic Director and conductor. Each of the full time members of the ensemble help with some non-playing aspect of the group and most teach private lessons. Unlike other professional orchestras, LCSO invites advanced students and community players to participate as part of their mission to contribute to music education and community partnership.   This partnering adds a unique and exciting dynamic that has become the educational backbone of the orchestra.
